FINNISH CABINET RESIGNS

(Rec. 7 p.m.) HELSINKI, Nov. 4. Finland’s minority coalition Government last night handed in its resignation to the President (Mr Paasikivi) after losing a vote of confidence in the Diet yesterday on the Government’s housing policy. The Government had allocated £427,000,000 for building houses and apartments in the next year, whereas the Grand Committee of the Diet, in which all the parties are represented, had urged the spending of about £641,000,000.
