AVONDALE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
WIN FOR E. G. MITCHELL E. G. Mitchell, Templeton, won the Avondale Golf Club’s junior championship tor players with handicaps of 15 and over. Filty players took part. Mitchell, with two rounds of 82, aggregate 164, played at three under his handicap. P. Haughey, Avondale, witn a Handicap of 20, returned 88 for the morning stroke round. In the afternoon w’th his handicap reduced by two, he returned a gross 78 and had his handicap further reduced by four. C. Weavers, a first-year golfer from Waimairi, returned a gross. 87 in the morning to have his handicap reduced by seven to- 17. In. the afternoon he did a gross 89. Results:—Championship: E. G.
