PERSIA AND BRITAIN
Future Of Oil Dispute (Rec. 8 p.m.) TEHERAN, Oct. 11. No enmity existed between the Persian Government and nation and the British Government and nation, a Persian Government spokesman, Mr Amidi Noori. said today. “There is merely a difference between the Persian Government and a British company,” he said. A settlement of the oil problem would have a great effect on the resumption of diplomatic relations between Britain and Persia, but it must be solved “according tto the will of the Persian nation and within the limits of the nationalisation law.”
Mr Amidi Noori said that the oil industry must be run and supervised by Persians. The present Government did not believe in keeping the oil resources unused.
