Archives Found In Teheran
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) TEHERAN. October 11. The authorities discovered the underground Tudeh (Communist) headquarters and archives in Teheran during the week-end. a high military spokesman said today. The organisation was revealed to extend into the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the railway system. Steps to deal with attempts to undermine the armed forces were well in hand and special anti-sabotage measures would be introduced at once, it was stated.
All railways came under martial law from today with troops on guard at vulnerable points. The death penalty would be meted out to proved offenders. While plans for Dr. Mussadiq’s trial were still held up. Brigadier Adzmoudie the Military Prosecutor, said that under article 46 of the Persian penal code, a person over 60 condemned to death would have the sentence commuted to penal servitude for life
