A stained glass window to the memory of Belgian civilians who died while helping Allied pilots to escape from Occupied Europe during the last war was dedicated today. The line, known as “Comete,” helped to smuggle more than 800 Allied airmen out of Belgium across France into Spain. A total of 216 civilians lost their lives while working for the,organisation in Belgium.
