GENERAL ELECTION

LABOUR CANDIDATE FOR NAPIER (New Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, October 12. Mr James G. Edwards, a 26-year-old civil servant, will be ' the Labour Party’s candidate for Napier at next year’s General Election. This was announced today. Mr Edwards, who is the youngest Labour candidate ever selected for Napier, is a clerk in the Lands and Deeds Department. He was formerly a schoolteacher.
