COUNTRY GIRLS’ CLUBS

COMPETITION RESULTS Seven clubs competed in the Country Girls’ Clubs’ competition held at Lincoln. The following were the results: Cattell Shield for the club gaining most points throughout the day: Lincoln club, 156 points; Mayfield, 96; Ohoka and District, 39; Sheffield, 34; Darfield, 26; Eiffelton, 17; Oxford, 10. Silver button awarded to the girl gaining most points: Florence Gallagher (Mayfield club). Most • points in each section were gained as follows: cooking: Margaret Adams (Sheffield); decorative, Joy Tilley (Lincoln); needlework, Florence Gallagher; photography, Ruth Mayo (Lincoln). Miss Gwen Montgomery, of Auckland, who has been on furlough, will leave today to return to Karachi to continue her work with the World Health Organisation.
