N.Z. AND U.S.A.
Sir,—Referring to the controversy concerning whether or not Mr Holland is favouring America rather than Britain, it has been evident for some 16 he is being drawn into the American orbit, just as is Mr Menzies of Australia. Both Mr Menzies and Mr Holland are of the same mental calibre as Wall street financiers and therefore need little persuading. The ordinary man has much to fear and lose if he, too, is to become a pawn of America’s policy of Fascism and war. I advise that we keep our own nationality and “follow the white line all the way.”—Yurs, etc., o , WIDE AWAKE. September 21, 1953.
