FORGERY CHARGE IN SYDNEY

SYDNEY, September 16. A man whom the police said had become known as “Mr One By One* appeared before the Central Court today, charged with having forged £lO notes in his possession. The man, Edward Charles Windeyer, a labourer, aged 39, was remanded until September 24 on bail of £lOOO.

The prosecutor said detectives had admissions from Windeyer that during the last three years he had 'experimented and perfected a system of reproducing £lO notes. He said Windeyer had admitted producing 600 of the counterfeit notes up to the time of his arrest. Of them, 594 had been accounted for.
