Minor Fires.—Two calls to minor fires were answered by the Christchurch Fire Brigade yesterday. At 6.52 a.m. a call was received to a chimnev fire in a house at 452 Hagley avenue occupied by Mr C. Tollard. A call was received at 3.04 p.m. to a motor-cycle in Cathedral square which had backfired through its carburettor. The motor-cycle, owned by Mr-J. A. Biddick, of Rangiora, was undamaged.
