HOLIDAY VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH
MR AND MRS GEOFFREY MULGAN Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Mulgan, who returned to New Zealand from England by the Rangitane recently, will spend a few months in Christchurch before returning to England. Mr Mulgan, an old boy of the Christchurch Boys’ High School, and Mrs Mulgan were both active members of the Christchurch Musical Union 30 years ago. Mrs Mulgan was formerly Miss Doris Mclntyre, a wellknown violinist in Christchurch. Mr Mulgan’s son. Denis, who was bom in New Zealand, is now the conductor of the Belfast Philharmonic Society and the Belfast City Orchestra, which he founded. He was also for a time principal oboe player in the 8.8. C. Scottish Orchestra and a lecturer in music at Birmingham University.
Mr Alan Mulgan, of Wellington, is a brother of Mr Geoffrey Mulgan.
