E. BEARMAN WINS BOYLE CHAMPIONSHIP fcUP A clay target shoot was held by the Waihora Gun Club on August 15, when the club’s district championship for the O. Boyle Cup, the Novice Cup, and a trophy shoot for the first trophy won by the Club’s No. 1 team in the C.A.C. teams’ match at Methven, were held. Results were:— Match No. 1 (five-bird eyeopener).—L. Eden, W. Tyson, A. Tomson, E. Bearman, I. Smith, and J. Potts shot the possible and divided the sweep. Match No. 2 (Novice Cup).—l. Smith won outfight with a possible. Match No. 3 (district championship).— A. Tomson, E. Bearman, L. Blatchford, and F. Radford, with 14 on, shot off. E. Bearman won in the fifth round.

Match No. 4 (C.A.C. trophy and two others), 20 birds.—W. Tyson and G. W. Thompson with the possible shot off, Tyson winning in the eighth round. Thompson took the second trophy. In a shootoff between J. Potts, I. Smith, and L. Blatchford, with 19 on, Potts won in the seventh round. Final Match (10-bird sweep).—H. Hatch* ard and E. Bearman, with the possible, divided first and second money. W. Tyson and A. Tomson, with nine on, divided the remainder.
