G. PIRIE BREAKS TWO DISTANCE RECORDS

Gordon Pirie, a 22-year-old bank clerk, who set a world record of 28min 19.4 sec for six miles yesterday, completed the double in the British amateur athletic championships today when he won the three miles race in 13min 43.45ec, a championship record.
