INDEPENDENCE OF CAMBODIA
KING’S DEMAND TO FRANCE (Rec. 10 p.m.) SAIGON, June 24. King Norodom Sihanouk, of Cambodia, said today that Cambodia would remain in the French Union only if given the same independence as Pakistan. within the British Commonwealth. He said that if France did not grant complete independence. Cambodia might resort to other than peaceful means of obtaining it.
