WOOL SALE AT SYDNEY
(Rec. 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 11. At the Sydney wool sales today better style fleece wools were fully firm at yesterday’s rates, any change being in the sellers’ favour. The irregularity reported on broad quality fleece wools was still noticeable. Comebacks and crossbreds were firm at late rates. Throughout the series better style fleece and skirtings remained practically unchanged on Monday’s opening levels. Broad quality and mixed lines, especially those carrying a heavy vegetable fault, were most irregular and showed a distinctly easier tendency. Of the 16,863 bales offered today, 16,334 were sold. Competition was good, particularly from the ,Continent and Britain. Top prices were: Best Merino 64/70’s, 125 d; crossbred average 58’s, 74d; average 50’s, 52d.
