SONLOCH (New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, -June 1. The Wanganui Jockey Club's winter meeting was concluded today in fine weather before another large crowd. The totalisator turnover was £67,943, compared with £67,668 last year. The total for the meeting was £133,940, against £135,774 10s last year. The totalisator double, Sonloch-Taringaroa, paid £B7 3s zor £l. After Royal Spur, ridden by D. Grubb, had finished third in the Grandstand Steeplechase, ap inquiry was held. After hearing - evidence, the committee resolved that Royal Spur be disqualified for the race for failing to weigh in with a breastplate. The fourth horse, Master Rich, was placed third.
