ELEVEN TERRORISTS KILLED
„ , NAIROBI, May 13. Securite forces killed 11 terrorists in the Nyeri district today after a three-day hill A security patrol encountered a gang armed with pangas and swords near Nanyuki township. They killed six terrorist* fa a sharp engagement. .South of Nyeri other patrols killed five terrorists, and wounded two fa three separate engagements. Seventeen Kikuyu tribesmen were sentenced to death today for foe murder of the wife of a loyal beadman during massacre. It was the first of 13 trials arising out of the massacre in which about 120 died. Of the 26 originally charged, seven were acquitted, but were rearrested on leaving the Court. The Lari massacre was a fullto gnment About 600 raiders swept through the Kikuyu settlement, slashing and burning.
