TWENTIETH CENTURY GROUP
ELECTION OF OFFICERS Some of the work to be undertaken this year by the Twentieth Century Group of the Christchurch branch of the Overseas League was outlined at the annual meeting of the group last evening by the secretary (Miss H. McCrostie). She said that some of the future activities included several social functions for members and their friends, and also the provision of week-end entertainment for young people living In flats, Mr J.’ G. Leggat, who has been chairman of the group for the last three years, did not seek re-election. The president of the Christchurch branch of the Overseas League (Mr A. I. Cottrell) gave an address on the history of the Overseas League. Officers were elected as follows: chairman. Mr Michael Williams; vicechairman. Mr Campbell Ballantyne; secretary. Miss H. McCrostie; committee. Misses D. Wait. A. Boyd-Clark. E. Addison, P. Wade. S. Priest. R. Lilley, and J. Aymes. Messrs B. Bruce. B. Briehtling. J. S. Vincent. R. D. Walker. J. Hanna. B. le Cren. P. Wait, J. Hobbs and G. Tait.
