NORTH BEACH HALL
CONTROL BY RESIDENTS WANTED
Negotiations are proceeding for the residents’ association to assume control of the North Beach Memorial Hall, Cr. L. Christie (chairman of the entertainments committee) reported to City Council. He was replying to Cr. J. Mathison, M.P., who said conditions at the hall were bad. The hall was without comfort or heating. He asked if representations had been made by the residents' association to assume control of the hall.
Only minor alterations needed to be made to the hall, replied Cr. Christie. Representations were made by the association two months ago and negotiations were going on. The committee would report later. Cr. L. G., Amos: That is telling a lot.
