STEAMER EXPRESS WHARF
Sir,—l would like to put forward * suggestion which will meet the approval of 99 per cent, of the residents of Lyttelton. The Upham clock is hidden around a corner invisible to the shopping area, the railway station and the wharves. The Harbour Board has no visible clock; neither has the Railway Department The plans for this new wharf should include a clock tower similar to that of the Auckland ferries.—Yours, etc, WAKE VP. Lyttelton, May 8, 1953.
