SEARCH FOR GOLD IN NIAGARA

SALVAGE SHIP TO LEAVE AUCKLAND TODAY (New Zealand. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 9. The British salvage ship Foremost 17 will be over the wreck of the Niagara, off Bream Head, Whangarei, on Saturday. She will leave Auckland tomorrow and is expected to take 10 hours to reach the wreck. In 1940 it took months of painstaking sweeping to find the Niagara. With modern electronic methods the search should take a matter of hours.
