SPITHEAD NAVAL REVIEW
LINERS TO CARRY GUESTS LONDON, April 7. The Orient liner Orcades and the P. and O. liner Strathnever will carry officials and guests of the British Government in the Royal procession at the Coronation naval review at Spithead on June 15. The Admiralty announced today that the ships in the review would be anchored in nine lines, and would stretch for a length of about seven miles. The Queen, Admiral of the Fleer the Duke of Edinburgh, and members of the Royal Family, in H.M-S. Surprise, will be greeted with a Royal salute of 21 guns when they arrive at Spithead. The Surprise will lead the procession through the ships, which will be dressed with flags and manned by the ships’ companies. The passage of the Surprise through the lines will occupy about one hour and a half, and the passage of the full procession two hours. Later in the day there will be a fly-past over the fleet by 300 naval aircraft. At night the ships of the review fleet will be illuminated and will give a fireworks display.
