CHINA TO TAKE CENSUS
CN.Z. Press Association—Copyright) HONG KONG, April 7. China’s first census is to be taken by June 30, Peking Radio announced today. The radio said the census was being taken to facilitate universal elections for Uie All-China People’s Congress. It is expected that the result of the census should be known to the central Government by November 15. The census is being conducted by provincial governments, which are expected to complete their returns by October 30. They will then report to Peking.
