OBITUARY
MISS O. M. FITCHETT

rr ’he death occurred in Auckland yesterday after a long illness of Miss O. M. Fitchett, a former headmistress of the Waikato Diocesan School for Girls. The eldest daughter of the late Fishop Fitchett. Miss Fitchett was educated at the St. Hilda’s Collegiate School in Dunedin and then attend 'd the Otago University, where she graduated B.A. and then M.A. with honours in history. Her first teaching appointment was at Woodford House, where she was a mistress for 10 years before taking a relieving appointment at the Otago Boys’ High School. In 1943. Miss Fitchett was appointed headmistress of the Waikato Diocesan School and she retained this appointment until she resigned three months ago because of ill-health.
The Bishop of Waikato (the Rt. Rev J. T. Holland) and the Rev. E. N. Winhall, of St. Andrew’s Church, Epsom, will conduct the funeral service in Auckland tomorrow and there will be a special memorial service at the Waikato Diocesan School on Friday.
