ELECTIONS IN THE SAAR

Validity Challenged By Dr. Adenauer (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) BONN, Oct. 31. The West German Government would not recognise the validity of the Saar Government elections on November 30, the Western German Chancellor (Dr. Adenauer) said yesterday. The government of the Saar ignored German objections to the elections, lhe Saar Prime Minister <Mr Johannes Hoffman) said he could not wait longer for France and Germany to settle their differences and the elections could not be postponed. Dr. Adenauer said the Bonn Government would regard the incoming Saar Government as it did the present administration—as invalid.
