DEPLETION OF CHURCH CONGREGATIONS

Sir,—ln reply to “Antidote" regarding empty churches, if he had cared to come last Saturday to a sung Eucharist at 7 a.m. he would have seen about 150. They went to receive the Blessed Sacrament, not just to hear a sermon. Christ dwells in the heart, not in a lot of preaching or ramming it down the throats of the public, as some business people do when you enter their shops.—Yours, etc., CREDO. October 22. 1952.
