PIGEON FLYING

EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB The East Christchurch Pigeon Club held a race from Pahiatua recently in a strong north-west gale. Mr W. Perkins’s bird flew the distance in 6hr 41min. T. Bell won the' nominated prize. Results were:—W. Perkins (1218 yards a minute), H. Courtier (1210), T. Ball (1207), F. Rose (1203), O. Freeman (1176), E. Barker (1174.9), D. Morgan (117441), W. Walls (1173).
