NATURE’S SIGNS

Sir,—lt was my prediction six weeks ago that the season would be dry and fairly windy. On Monday I was looking for a stick and discovered a blackbird’s nest built on the ground underneath an old dray frame. This frame was lying under trees by a hay shed. Could anyone explain why the bird should do this when there are trees around? I have noticed other signs, too. Is it God’s way of indicating to us the season ahead.—Yours, etc., , E. L. EARLY.
