Ryan Street Reserve.— Lifting of a reservation on land at the end of Ryan street is contemplated by the City Council so that the property can be used for pensioners’ cottages, but last evening a request was received from the District Commissioner of Works for the land to be added to an adjoining school site. The housing committee’s recommendation that the council consider this proposal if suitable property was offered in exchange was approved.
