COLLISION WITH STEER

WOMAN MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED (New Zealand Press Aasoctatian) WANGANUI, October 5. A woman motor-cyclist was fatally injured when she collided with a steer on the main highway two miles south of Waitotara on Saturday night, She was Mrs Daphne Jean ElmeiL aged 20, of Fitzherbert avenue, Wanganui. Mrs Elmer was one of a party of three, all of whom were riding motorcycles towards Wanganui. Her husband and a friend threaded their way through a mob of cattle, Mrs Elmer, who was behind the first two motor-cyclists, tried to get through, but her machine collided with one'of fee cattle.

She died soon after fee accident. She was the mother of twins aged nine month*.
