(New Zealand Pres* Association) OTAKI, October 4. * The spring meeting of the Levin Racing Club was held at Otaki on Saturday in overcast-weather. Showers fell after the opening event, but' the weather cleared lain after the fourth race.' The track
became greasy, and the start of the principal event was delayed 15 minutes to allow the water to soak in. The decision on the delay was made after three horses had fallen in the Apprentices’ Handicap. The winning double eombinatioon. Hut-ton-Flying Miller, ; returned £4l 18s 6d for £j. The' totaiisator- handled on-course bets totalling £82,808, including £7280 in doubles. The total was £10,367 less than at the corresponding meeting last year.
