Raid On European Farms

(17. Z. Press (Rec. 7 p.m.) Nairobi, sept. 27. police, aided by dogs, have arrested hearly 100 Mau Mau anti-European terrorists. suspected of massacring animals on European farmlands. The raiders slaughtered 100 sheep and 84 head of cattle, ahd burned down two stores and a ptimp-house. The damage was estimated at £7OOO. Many of those arrested are said to be. employed on the farms where the animals were slaughtered. While the nerds of sheep and cattle were being slaughtered, the Legislative Council in Nairobi was being told that the crimes ascribed to the Mau Mau up to now included 23 murders, four suicides by terrorised persons, hnd burning of 24 huts, some with peopie ihside. Tne member fof African Affairs (Mr E. R. Davies) said that people were being ruined by the unrest shd vioehCe.
