PROPERTY AUCTIONS AT RANGIORA

A wood and iron building with a floor space of 2400 square feet on 14 perches of land in Alfred street, Rangiora, was sold at auction in Rangiora yesterday for £1950. Bidding began at £lOOO and rose in bids of £lOO- to £l7OO. Bids of £5O brought the figure to £1990 and two bids of £25 each reached the <final figure. The buyers .were WoolstonRangiora, Ltd. • A six-robnied brick bungalow m Victoria street, Rangiora, on a i acre of land, was sold at auction for £3750. Bidding began at £3250 and rose in bids of £lOO to the final figure. The property was bought by the North Canterbury Farmers’ Veterinary Club. A'wooden house of four main rooms and two enclosed sunrooms, situated in Church street, was passed in at £650. A four-roomed bungalow with two sun porches in Good street, Rangiora. was passed in at £lBOO, but was sold later.
