KOREAN FEVER

DISEASE RARE AMONG U.N. FORCES (New Zealand Press Association)

WELLINGTON, July 30. Relatives and friends need not fear an outbreak of Korean fever among New Zealand troops in Korea, said the senior medical officer with K Force (Captain A. R. Martin, of Heretaunga) on his arrival by Solent to-day. Captain Martin said the disease was rare among the United Nations forces and added that the men in Korea had the best medical organisation behind them ever established in a waf. Formerly a surgeon at the Palmerston North Hospital, Captain Martin served in the field with the 16th New Zealand Field Regiment until his appointment as senior medical officer about nine months ago.
