PACIFIC DEFENCE COUNCIL

N.Z. DELEGATION ANNOUNCED

(New Zealand Press Association) „ WELLINGTON, July 30. Members of the New Zealand delegation to attend the first meeting of the Pacific Defence Council, which will open at Honolulu next week, were announced to-day. The delegates will be led by the Minister of External Affairs (Mr T. C. Webb). Other members will be the Chief of the General Staff (MajorGeneral W. G. Gentry), the New Zealand Ambassador in Washington (Mr L. K. Munro), Mr G. R. Laking, of the Washington staff, and the DeputySecretary of External Affairs (Mr F. Shanahan). Mr Webb, Major-General Gentry and Mr Shanahan will leave New Zealand by air on Saturday.
