DEBUTANTE DANCE

Dr. and Mrs J. F. Landreth, Mr and Mrs F. Monro, Mr and Mrs W. Johnson, and Mr and Mrs M. Taylor, all of Cashmere Hills, jointly entertained about 90 of their friends at a very pleasant dance given last night at the Sign of the Takahe. The dance was given in honour of their four debutante daughters—Misses Janet Monro, Lynley Taylor, Helen Johnson, and Jane Landreth. Miss Monro wore a bouffant frock of white layered tulle; Miss Johnson s frock of white broderie anglaise was mounted on taffeta, Miss Landreth wore a strapless frock of layers of white nylon net over faille, and Miss Taylor’s frock of tulle over taffeta had a bodice of brocade. Each carried a bouquet and the parents of each held dinner parties at their homes before the dance.
