SUPREME COURT AT GREYMOUTH
WOMAN ADMITTED TO PROBATION (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, March 3. Jessie Edith Jackson, of Aicken’s. aged 29. a married woman, 'Was found guilty by a jury in the Supreme Court at Greymouth to-day, on charges that she stole £3 from the till of the Perry Range Hotel on October 24 last year and £2O from a bedroom drawer, in the hotel, the property of the wife of the licensee, Marion Neame, on the same day. The jury added a recommendation to mercy. Mr Justice Northcroft admitted accused to probation for three years. The terms of probation include the taking out of a prohibition ordgr for the currency of the probationary term and the restitution of the £23 stolen.
