MURUPARA PULP SCHEME
INTERESTS REPORT TO GOVERNMENT
CABINET TALKS TO BE HELD TO-DAY
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 4. The United Kingdom and Australian industrial interests who have been discussing with New Zealand interests Carticipation in the Murupara project ave for the time being finished their discussions and have reported progress to the Government. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland), the Minister of Agriculture (Mr K. J. Holyoake), and the Minister of Fdrests (Mr E. B. Corbett) attended to-day's talks.
Mr Holland said that yesterday he met a representative of the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company, and to-day he met Colonel lan F. Bowater, of the Bowater Paper Corporation. To-morrow the Prime Minister and Messrs Holyoake and Corbett will hold separate discussions, and later will report to a special Cabinet meeting. It is understood that to-morrow’s Cabinet talks will be on purely financial and economic problems.
