HEAVY CASUALTIES IN DECEMBER

(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, February 21. Road casualties in December were the heaviest recorded in this period in Britain for 10 years. , . The total was 18,187, which included 521 killed and 4578 seriously injured. More than a sixth of the casualties occurred in the last four week days before Christmas, when 3200 people were injured and 101 killed.
