RANDOLPH CUP WIN FOR C. GRESSON The annual match for the Randolph Cup was played by members of the Christchurch Golf Club at Shirley on Saturday? The trophy, presented by the son of the late W. D. Wood and open to men golfers of all clubs in Canterbury, was presented to the winner by Mr Charles wood, upon whom honorary life membership of the club was conferred last week. The trophy was won by C. Gresson (Christchurch), with a score of 75, 7—68. on sc count-back from A. Greenwood (Kaiapoi), 82, 14—68. J. Rennie was third, with a score of 73, 4—69, and L. A. Watson was fourth with a score of 72, I—7l on a count-back from -C. J. Ward, 71, scr—7l, and R. T. Pither, 75, 4—71. In this competition W. Quirk holed his tee shot at the ninth hole. HAGLEY CLUB Members of the Hagley Golf Club held a four-ball bogey competition on Saturday afternoon, with several Christmas gifts as trophies. Best scores were:— Miss M. Sowden (17) and L. S. Jarvie (11), 9 up; Miss L. Hawkins (23) and J. L. Jarvie (12), 8 up; Mrs T. W’. Callander (13) and E. H. Hill, (5), 5 up> Mrs C. Galbraith (23) and D. Glue (12), 4 up; Mrs H. Hooper (16) and J. G.
