NEW SHIP FOR WEST COAST TRADE.—The North Westland Shipping Company’s motor vessel Zephy r being launched at Delfzul, Holland. Specially designed for the West Coast and inter-Island trade, the Zephyr will draw just over nine feet when fully loaded and will readily negotiate bar harbours. On her maiden voyage to New Zealand she will be manned by Dutch migrants. It is expected that the Zephyr will arrive at Lyttelton, her first New Zealand port of call, about the end of April.
