DISPLACED PERSONS ARRIVE
LAST BIG DRAFT FOR NEW ZEALAND
(Ntw Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 14. The last large draft of displaced persons coming to New Zealand arrived in the Goya this morning. She carried 460 displaced persons, mostly of Greek origin. A special train took the new settlers from the Aotea quay to Pahiatua, where they will spend six weeks. Except for the last few days, the Goya had a good trip. Officials of the International Refugee Association said the trip had been very happy, and the draft was considered to be one of the best that had reached New Zealand.
