THE KING’S BIRTHDAY

QUIET CELEBRATION (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 14. The King, who is 56 years old to-day, is expected to spend his birthday quietly with the Queen at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Lodge, Windsor. During the morning he will spend some time reading many messages and cables of congratulation received at the Palace.

The Royal Family will attend a birthday luncheon for His Majesty at Buckingham Palace. His Majesty and the Queen are expected to leave later for Windsor, where they will remain over the weekend.
