YOUTH KILLED BY FALLING TREE
(New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, Sept. 27. While felling a tree on his father's farm at Papatawa to-day Murray Edward Klein, aged 18, was struck by the butt of the tree and suffered head injuries. He died instantly. WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED HIT-AND-RUN CASE AT TAURANGA (New Zealand Press Association) TAURANGA, September 27. A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident outside Hayman’s Hall about midnight last night. She is Mrs Wilhelmina Arbuthnott, aged 53, of Edgecumbe road. Tlie police are seeking to locate a modern, dark coloured motor-car. The car was travelling south. Mrs Arbuthnott was admitted to the Tauranga Hospital, where her condition was reported this morning to be still serious.
