PRICE OF WOOL
Sir, —The alarming decline in the price of wool is cause for serious thought to the woolgrowers of the Dominion. With the world-wide shortage and the high costs, I think we are foolish to let our wool go at these ridiculous prices. If we all stick together and if a reasonable reserve is not reached, withdraw. So long as buyers can get wool at any old price the present low rates will continue. Being one of the unfortunates who missed the February sale, my wool is in this week’s sale, but unless my reserve is reached back it goes to the store; while the new season's clip will remain in my shed until the market improves. If all growers adopt this attitude it will not be long before buyers adjust their limits—Yours, etc., WOOLGROWER. September 17, 1951.
