SILK BEATS WOON IN FINAL

(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, Sept. 16. In the final oi the Wanganui golf chamjlonship to-day, B. M. Silk (Wanganui) seat the present New Zealand amateur title-holder, D. L. Woon (Waitikirl), at the nineteenth. In the semi-finals, Woon beat A. R. Kitto (Castlecliff), 4 and 2, and Silk beat J. Carde (Wanganui), 3 and 2. Kitto played superb golf on Friday, when he returned 67, but he could not maintain his form. The final between Silk and Woon was close, but there were putting lapses by both players.
