MERINO MARKET HARDENS

(Bee. 11 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 11. The market showed a hardening tendency for all Merino descriptions fit the Sydney wool stiles to-day. Comebacks and crossbreds were up to 5 per cent, lower than yesterday's rates, particularly for coarser qualities. Competition was good with the Continent predominating. Good support esme from Britain. More than 4000 baled were withdrawn from the sale. The catalogue comprised 10,240 bales, of which 0834 were sold. Top price was 109Jd for greasy Merino.
