WAXING OF EXPORT CHEESE
SUPPORT BY DAIRY COMMISSION (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 30. Dairy companies are to be encouraged by the Dairy Products Marketing Commission to wax export eheese so that it will be in better condition for handling. The chairman of the Commission (Mr W. Marshall) told the Dominion dairy conference to-day that the British Ministry of Food had agreed to accept waxed cheese. He said that after investigation of costs it had been decided to pay companies 2s a crate to cover the cost of waxing. To assure companies of continuity of outlet for waxed cheese and induce them to produce it, the commission would guarantee that an extra rate would be paid for at least six' years.
