SOME NOW ALLOTTED

Seven sites in Barn road and six in Acheson avenue. Shirley, which have been made available by the Government, for sale to'the public for the building of shops, have now been allotted, according to an announcement made yesterday by the Lands and Survey Department. A few sites in each locality are still available and will be advertised shortly. Twenty more housing sites in Christchurch have been made available. with preference for former servicemen. and ballots will be held for them on September 27. The sections are in Dallington, Upper Riccarton, Riccarton, Hornby, Halswell, Papanui, Bryndwr, Heathcote and Shirley.
