New Workshops Block
Occupation of part at least of its new workshops block by the beginning of the third term is to be sought by the Board of Managers of the Christchurch Technical College. The board decided last evening to take this step at the request of the principal (Mr D. W. Lyall), who said that the school was cramped for space at present. Mr Lyall said that three upstairs rooms were finished, including furnishings, and had now bben locked up. A member of the board suggested that under the laws of contract the occupation of part of a building still under construction might be an awkward proposition.
